Dr. MacNeilage has written over 120 papers and one monograph (The Origin of Speech, Oxford University Press, 2008) on the nature and evolution of complex action systems. His conceptual contributions include the Frame/Content Theory of the evolution of speech and the Postural Origins Theory of the evolution of handedness.
