Pascal van Lieshout

Pascal van Lieshout is Professor in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Toronto,
a Canada Research Chair in Oral Motor Function, and director of the Oral Dynamics Lab. He also holds cross-appointments in the department
of Psychology, the Institute of Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering and the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute. His area of interest
is in oral motor control using principles of Dynamical Systems Theory and he is well-known for his studies on articulation in speech
motor disorders, in particular stuttering. In his research he investigates the mechanisms that facilitate or reduce stability in
movement control and coordination.
